Address Sharpsmart Rainham facility is expanding due to new business growth and we have an opportunity for an experienced Transport Supervisor for nightshift to join our team. The Transport Supervisor will undertake nightshift depot responsibility for the management of Drivers, Vehicle compliance and provide support to deliver an efficient and effective collection service.
Your role will involve:
- Operational transport compliance
- Scheduling, analysis and planning and out of hours responses
- Driver debriefs
- Incident investigation and assist in the disciplinary processes, accident and incident investigations, driver training and auditing
- Performance management, absence management, KPI setting and 121s and Interviewing
- Support will be given to the National Transport Manager on vehicle and supplier procurement and supply.
- Liaison with internal department and external third parties
- Submit Transport updates and reports to Senior Management Team
- Transport Employee Recruitment & Development
- Health and safety
Candidate Profile
- CPC Qualification/ADR Knowledge would be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar transport management role with strong understanding of Transport Compliance
- Experience of vehicle routing and excellent geographical knowledge
- Experience of building relations and working with drivers on a daily basis
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- People Management, including hiring, performance management, absence management, disciplinary actions
- Excellent PC skills including Microsoft packages with Intermediate Excel skills
- Full UK Driving License
