Transport Supervisor

M4 Specialist are recruiting for an Experienced Transport Supervisor for one of our Distribution companies based in Warrington. 

Our client supply transport, warehousing, and distribution services to multiple industries with national/regional coverage. 

We are seeking a professional and experienced Transport Supervisor to join their transport office. The ideal candidate will have previous working experience within a busy office and knowledge of the general haulage industry would be highly beneficial.

Working hours :

• Monday – Friday 12:00PM-20:00PM
• Must be able to commit to 1 in 3 Saturdays

Transport Supervisor - Position Requirements :

• General administration duties in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures
• To work with, assist, and report to the Transport Management team
• Ensuring good standards of Health and Safety processes are followed by yourself and the team
• Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all deliveries are made on time in full and accurate completion of daily Transport paperwork
• Regular communication with the planning department of any delays / lateness / issues
• Primary point of contact for customer enquiries / changes to schedule, ensuring these are logged accurately
• Collation of information for KPI reporting
• Utilising the Transport Management System
• Managing drivers’ hours, infringements and control of Tachographs
• Liaise with relevant departments / sites to achieve the most effective loading schedule.
• Assist with the management of vehicle defects through the VOR process
