Join our client who is an award-winning independent tour operator specialising in a variety of destinations including Greece, Cyprus, the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Malta, Turkey, Goa, and The Gambia. They are seeking a bubbly, highly motivated, and ambitious individual to become part of the team. As a Reservations Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for the public and travel agents, crafting and selling bespoke holidays to beautiful parts of the world.
Day to Day of the role:- Build package holidays from quote to booking stage, including flights, accommodation, transfers, and bespoke island-hopping itineraries using our in-house reservations system (@comRes).
- Service both direct customers and travel agents, ensuring the correct business rules are applied according to the type of booking.
- Liaise with external suppliers for additional inventory or special requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service when answering telephone calls and email enquiries, with a confident and professional manner.
- Complete related administration work related to bookings, ensuring all information is passed to the relevant departments and suppliers.
- Manage inbound calls, emails, and chasing quotes with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Depending on aptitude, specialise in various reservations fields, such as Weddings, Group Travel, etc.
- Assist other departments occasionally as required.
- Either Travel and Tourism qualification or Travel experience.
- Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of overseas geographical regions.
- Ability to influence, inspire, and lead to achieve objectives.
- Creativity and imagination.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express a message clearly and persuasively.
- Strong team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and Bank holidays.
