Founded in 1837, the Royal College of Art is the world’s largest community of postgraduate art and design students. It is also the oldest art and design university-level institution in continuous operation and has been ranked as the world‘s number one art and design university for a remarkable nine consecutive years, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 – the worldwide survey of academic and industry opinion.
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide advice and support to pre enrolled, current students and Alumni from the wider RCA BLK community.
The RCA BLK Mentoring program is a six months development initiative program which offers current students (Mentees) the chance to be paired Alumni (mentor’s) from the wider RCA network.
RCA is known for attracting, supporting and convening some of the world's most talented faculty, students, artists, designers and creative leaders.
The program aims to foster and build upon those talents encouraging experienced Graduates/ Alumnus to support the next generation helping to bridge the gap between Students who may not have access to networks and resources.
The Program provides Students and Alumni a safe space to build and align with the college's values. This can take place in person or online offering pastoral support, a chance for mentees and mentors to learn and build valuable skills as well as build lasting real live industry professional relationships.
The Advisor will be responsible for the pairing process with the support of mentoring and also ensure the smooth running of the program by conducting pre and post evaluation questionaries, being available to meet and support all participants and provide written feedback on the program.
