Treasurer/Bookkeeper

Responsible for overseeing the financial management of our organization. Using Xero.
This is a part time position of 10 hours per week - hours/days are negotiable but must be during the week and within office hours. In April, there will be extra hours to assist the Club Secretary with Membership Renewals.
There is also the requirement to attend an evening meeting once per month, along with a yearly AGM, where the Treasurer provides a financial report.
This is a very friendly club and you would be welcome to become a member and enjoy the facilities. There is live music every Saturday, bingo on a Friday, teams of darts, snooker, poker and a Bowls Club.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of financial operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare financial reports and statements for review by senior management and board members
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Treasurer or in a similar financial management role
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such - ideally Xero
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
