Form of workOur client, a well known bank situated in Central Manchester, is seeking a Treasury Assurance Manager to join their growing team. Reporting into the VP of the function, this role presents an exciting opportunity to shape and maintain a robust compliance and risk management culture within the wider organisation. Leveraging their expertise in Treasury concepts, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing the business control environment, mitigating risks, and ensuring the effective implementation of Treasury policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and promote a strong compliance and risk management culture across the Treasury function.
- Assess and mitigate risks within the Treasury function, ensuring alignment with our risk appetite.
- Conduct thorough assessments of Treasury policies to ensure they are fit for purpose and effectively implemented, while continuously challenging processes and controls for improvement.
- Oversee the production of insightful risk reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for action and escalation to the operational risk monthly meeting.
Skills Needed
- A strong risk and control mindset, coupled with a deep understanding of Treasury activities.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, delivering high-quality results within set deadlines.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience and knowledge of controls and risk management frameworks preferred, with the ability to offer alternative solutions and construct compelling arguments to support opinions.
