My client is in the insurance sector
Reporting to the Head of Client Finance where you will be primarily responsible for managing the cash and other financial assets, banking operations, liquidity management and short-term cash flow forecasting on behalf of clients. Management of the cash team in the delivery of key financial activities for internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure you deliver agreed services to clients in manner described above, Services may include but not limited to:
* Provide oversight to the team, managing day-to-day issues and concerns, coaching and developing team members, driving performance and service delivery. Implement the necessary changes to the cash team to ensure the efficient delivery of tasks
* Cash management operations including daily cash administration and the management of all client bank accounts
* Oversee the preparation of timely bank reconciliations
* Manage the timely, accurate and efficient processing of transactions and ledger postings
* Management of guarantees and letter of credit facilities
* Manage relationships with key banking partners including KYC requests and investment managers
* Ensuring authority matrices, banking mandates and key documentation is up to date and remains relevant
* Short-term Cash Flow Forecasting on behalf of clients, ensuring adequate funds available and maximize investment income
* Providing support to the wider team for banking account opening and administrative changes
Experience and Skills
* Customer focussed with a conscientious and enthusiastic approach to work
* Able to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines, even when they conflict
* Good communicator and team player with a committed, professional and positive attitude
* Proactive and strategic thinker, able to look ahead to foresee issues and plan around them
* Experience managing a transactional finance team
* Strong numerical and MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills
Knowledge and Qualifications
* Knowledge of cash management and cash forecasting is essential
* Exposure to investments and investment managers would be advantageous
* Knowledge of SUN/Q&A and internet banking is desirable.
