On a day-to-day basis, this position will be tasked with nurturing trees and plant life, helping to preserve natural beauty while protecting the people and buildings involved. It includes activities like carefully inspecting trees to spot potential hazards and diseases requiring treatment. When pruning and trimming is needed, you will responsibly perform these tasks to maintain the health, aesthetics, and critical clearance from buildings and power lines. You'll remove dead or dangerous trees and branches posing risk to customers or company assets, cleaning up debris afterwards and keeping detailed records of work carried out. If there are disease or pest issues, you'll step in to apply appropriate remedies so that our communities' trees can thrive once more. In summary you will be felling, crown raising, crown reducing, pollarding, removing dead wood from canopies, treating and poisoning stumps, using chainsaws, chippers and MEWPS.
At all times while on the job, you must follow safety protocols/Risk Assessments and wear the proper correct supplied protective PPE for yours and others' wellbeing.
Essentials
Must hold CS30 & CS31 as minimum.
Must hold a full driving licence.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in arboriculture.
Must be competent in leading on Health & Safety.
Must be able to display strong leadership skills.
Desirable
Previous leadership experience
Experience working from a MEWP
Previous budgetary control experience
Previous tree stock inspection/surveying experience
This role requires working in the following localities: Covering West Midlands, including Wrexham and Stoke-on-Trent.
