Leadership and Management To ensure professional standards are maintained To liaise with other professionals and voluntary organisations. To assist in training for students (e.g. nursing, occupational therapy, social care staff, psychotherapy and medical) To participate in monitoring and evaluating the quality and outcomes of service delivery. Clinical Practice To be aware of the provision of Health and Safety at work Act and to maintain safe and therapeutic environment and practice. To have a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act. To ensure all mandatory training requirements are met including attendance at Cardiac-pulmonary resuscitation, fire lectures and SCIP training. To operate within all national and local policies and procedures. To update and develop clinical skills in psychiatry in line with CPD requirements To keep accurate and clear records To be aware of and adhere to Child Protection guidelines and procedures of the Trust and the Area Child Protection Team. Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post, following discussion with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Clinical Team Manager. The post holder may be required to do joint visits or assessments with other members of Acute Mental Health Services Travelling expenses will be paid accordingly
