Job description

MCS Group is currently working exclusively with Lunn’s Jewellers to recruit a Sore Manager for their brand-new Tudor Boutique Store.

Reporting directly to the Retail General Manager you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a high performing team of sales professionals and foster a positive environment, through leading by example. You will ensure you and your team always deliver an exceptional customer experience for their clients, whilst driving KPI’s and operational excellence.

You will drive commerciality within the team to improve customer experience, whilst continually seeking ways to improve standards, sales, and efficiencies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Agree with the Retail General Manager the annual objectives for the Queen’s Arcade Tudor Store, and report progress in writing each month against the objectives set.
  • The effective and efficient management of all commercial aspectsof the retail business of the sales floor, including rigorous adherence to the stock and cash control policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the objectives of the Company, Store and Brand partner are achieved through the retail operations of the Tudor Store.
  • To drive actions plans and assume accountability to ensure missed targets can be reached.
  • To ensure that team members are aware of their responsibilities as brand ambassadors, whilst meeting operational standards required of their role, as well as their individual sales objectives.
  • To ensure the strategy of both the Lunn’s & Tudor brand(s) is achieved, and where not, plans are put in place to ensure achievement at the next opportunity.
  • To ensure a constant thorough knowledge of KPI data including sales made, sales held over and potential sales through Expression of Interest in order to advise Senior Management of performance.
  • To proactively add to the Operational side of the business and the company overall.
  • To ensure the delivery of the customer promise on every visit, through the associated team.
  • Drive the growth of new customers and further develop existing customers into long term relationships.
  • To review and create action plans on mystery shopping reports to improve the store and customer experience.
  • Make full use of the company CRM system to maximise full potential of client journey.
  • Prepare and drive your own personal development and performance, through seeking feedback from peers and line manager.
  • To manage all aspects of the colleague cycle from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between, with the support of HR.
  • Provide an in-depth induction for all new to role colleagues within your area.
  • Ensure that all colleagues are adhering to all policy and procedures as set by the company.
  • All people management duties including supporting with recruitment and selection, managing performance, absence management, rostering, as well as supporting your team as a mentor and coach.
  • Inspire and motivate a high performing team.
  • Conduct regular 1-1 meetings to manage any performance issues or to stretch colleagues who our exceeding role expectations.
  • Manage any difficult conversations with team members to ensure that all team members are delivering in role. Creating and implementing action plans for underperformance.
  • Effectivelymanage, motivate, and develop all members of the sales team to ensure that all store objectives are met, especially in the following areas;
    • The overall Customer Experience
    • Ensuring Expert Knowledge is shared with every client.
    • Delivering the brand’s ethos
    • Create a ‘winning culture’

  • Ensure that all colleagues training is kept up to date at all times, ensuring compliance with Brand procedures and training.
  • Conduct regular reviews with your team to identify training needs, to support the team to achieve to a high standard as well as identifying potential for succession planning in the future to nurture talent pipeline.
  • Develop a team of Brand Ambassadors in all areas to ensure that in addition to the Lunns & Tudor expectations are delivered during each sales presentation.
  • To lead the team to develop themselves to ensure a high level of brand knowledge and self-development, ensuring high participation rate in brand incentives.
  • Fully understand the store’s performance, targets and KPIs and ability to analyse your business.
  • Feedback on store performance and trends on a weekly basis to the Retail General Manager, whilst confidently articulating analysis of business performance to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensure continual improvement of processes to ensure the store and associated team are operating to the best of their abilities.
  • Develop a continuous improvementethos throughout the sales team that touches every aspect of the business of the sales floor, by developing annual improvement objectives for the sales floor and subsequently implementing plans to deliver these objectives.
  • Support with identifying, creating, and implementing action plans to continually improve.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of +3 years' experience in a luxury retail or hospitality management role with a high involvement in ensuring business growth
  • Ability to lead and develop a high performing team by motivating and driving through individual objectives.
  • Display an engaging, motivating, and driven attitude and lead the team by example.
  • GCSE English and Maths B grade or above (or equivalent).
  • Enthusiastic, self-confident, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills with the ability to build effective, engaging and trusted relationships with clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical outlook.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Results driven, and business focused.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of the management team.
  • Be proactive and have a willingness to learn and develop.
