MOTHER is currently seeking a Full Time UK Brand Specialist based in Central London.
Famous for its irreverent disposition, model cult following, and super-soft fabrics, the boutique made-in L.A. brand is unique for its genius in keeping an indie spirit while still offering fits and washes that appeal to a wide range of people. Guided by spontaneity, MOTHER has grown into a lifestyle brand with four yearly collections expanding across denim, sportswear, outerwear and accessories. The brand evokes the memories and experiences of growing up in California in the 70s – what you were wearing, what you were doing and who you were getting in trouble with. It reflects the freedom to be unfiltered, brazen and above all amusing.
This position will focus on building relationships with major department stores, primarily focusing on Selfridges. Responsible for promoting brand awareness and increasing business at each door within the given territory. Position reports to the International Sales Director.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling and sharing product knowledge
- Develop strong relationships in each store to effectively push sales and maintain brand positioning by working with all levels of personnel. This includes working closely with sales associates, Brand Specialists, merchandisers, department managers, shipping and receiving, visual, and personal shopper.
- Maintain weekly in-store merchandising. Merchandising should be cohesive and enhance the brand image.
- Take inventory of missing sizes, fill in missing sizes from the stockroom, ensure new product is on the floor, and help to pull RTV and markdown styles at each door.
- Ensure stockroom is labeled, organized, and easily accessible for store associates to pull from.
- Ensure that the highest presentation standards, company brand image, and customer service are maintained in the stores at all times.
- Support stores during in store promotional events.
- Alert team of pertinent information such as product call outs, issues, and missing sizes from each store visit in a timely manner
- Provide insights on opportunities and risks, reorders and any further information to help drive sales.
- Schedule will require one weekend day.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in premium denim: retail sales experience is required
- Knowledge of market and fashion trends, business environment and competitors
- Be familiarized with in-store dynamic and best practices
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
- Demonstrate excellent customer service
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outgoing, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to problem solve
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
