A major, international design consultancy is seeking a new Technical Director to head up their Building Services team throughout the UK.
You will be reporting to the overall head of the UK practice and be a key influence on a large mechanical and electrical Building Services design team spread throughout the country. Their project range covers significant scale international schemes, public services, mission critical, commercial and energy, all with a strong focus on sustainability.
You will need to be Chartered, have a mechanical Building Services background for preference and be comfortable operating at national level as well as having experience of working within a consultancy environment.
The role will see you taking a strategic lead, having involvement in larger schemes and representing the company when speaking with key clients; it's an interesting post which many would consider their career pinnacle.
You could be based anywhere in the country and they fully support hybrid working so there is no need to be based in London, Leeds or Newcastle specifically - they are far more flexible than that!
The package includes salary with scope to reach c. (phone number removed) depending upon your experience, excellent pension, holiday package, share options and private medical.
One of the world's leading international consultancies, they have a large UK network of offices and provide Architecture, asset management, civil and structural engineering services as well as Building Services.
The projects are varied and range from nuclear power and defence work, Building Services schemes in the aviation, energy, low carbon/net zero development, education, water, rail and commercial developments.
Similarly varied are the rewards, including:
- A salary scale at the upper end of the range
- Company doubling your contribution to the pension scheme.
- 4x annual earnings life assurance (can be increased to 10x or reduced to 2x)
- 25 days plus 8 days leave. Flexibility to buy/sell up to 15 days.
- Income protection to protect you in the event of illness/injury
- Professional fees paid
- Flexible benefits where you can use a cash amount to customise your package according to your own preferences
- Season ticket loan and more tax free/government sponsored schemes than I can list here!
They have well established internal mentoring programmes, internal career development sessions and support for those progressing through Chartership coupled with their online university.
Standard working practices include flexible working allowing you fit work around home commitments and they are growing their professional development programme to support those who are working from home to ensure that their career continues to thrive.
Sponsorship support is available for certain roles while it is worth noting that others will require security clearance to be obtained, particularly those in the rail, defence and nuclear sectors.
