VL Test Systems Ltd (VLT) is a leading supplier of high-quality Commercial Vehicle testing equipment with a wealth of experience in the Commercial Brake Tester market.
We are recruiting for a UK Sales Manager; this is an important position within the company and you will be an important member of the management team reporting to the UK Director. This is a long-term permanent position with an excellent future and prospects within a long established respected private family company (over 65 years).
UK Sales Manager - The Role:
Based at our modern offices in Buckingham and residing, or willing to relocate within approximately 1 hour of Buckingham you will be responsible for managing, supporting, progressing and expanding our current team of Technical Sales persons and personally managing our key account customers throughout the UK and worldwide.
We will help you with all necessary help and guidance to allow you to complete the job and meet our continual high standards within the industry.
This position will require nights away from home and some foreign travel.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
- Increasing turnover
- Maintaining a healthy profit percentage
- Managing key accounts, Stagecoach, MOD, Scania etc etc.
- Managing and expanding existing Technical Sales force
- Reporting directly to UK director
- Becoming an important part of the management team
- Ensuring continued customer satisfaction
UK Sales Manager - Skills / Attributes:
The successful applicant will need to prove experience and knowledge, or the willingness to learn, in the field of Commercial Vehicle Testing and DVSA Test procedures!
You will have or be capable of:
- Comprehensive man management
- Guidance and accurate reporting
- Conversing with PLC’s and independent businesses alike
- Excellent work ethics
- An ability for marketing and exhibition planning
- An eye for detail
- Capability to grasp new technology as it arises.
