UltraFlex Gym Assistant

UltraFlex York is one of the best gym facilities in York and we want our team to be the best too. Whilst an interest in health and fitness is encouraged, we care more about your personality and how you can give our members a great experience. This opportunity is for full time 30 - 40 hours per week. Whilst we are always as flexible and accommodating to our teams needs we expect relatively full availability to cover all the shifts needed within these 30 - 40 hours.

Duties

- Providing day-to-day cover at the facility.

- Signing up new members, serving at reception, which will include handling cash and cashing up at the end of your shift.

- To work as part of a motivated team to provide a welcoming presence to all that visit the facility and to assist, motivate and support members where needed.

- Safety checks and maintenance of equipment.

-Cleaning of all areas of the gym, which will include AM and PM cleaning duties along with hourly cleaning and checks etc.

-To participate in relevant team meetings/training events and contribute to the production and distribution of promotional materials.

-To contribute to the development and delivery of events and projects and the publicity and marketing of them.

-To contribute to involving users, community members and groups in the planning and delivery of projects/open days and consultation.

-To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post.

Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of sales and upselling is desirable but can be taught.

- Computer and POS till system literate is desirable but can also be taught.
