- Completion of the first year in a related degree program at an accredited institution. The declared degree must pertain to the department to which the student will be assigned.
- Must be actively enrolled in school.
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. (upload of current transcripts required)
- Must have:
- Planning/organizing skills and initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to follow directions, both written and verbal, and work independently to meet deadlines and commitments as well as part of a team.
- Team player with good customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills are desired, including MS Office and computer programming.
- Strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
- Experience installing hardware and software for personal computing needs preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills desired.
- Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional, effective manner.
- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’
