About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Underwriting Processing Assistant to work with Britannia’s Underwriting Team providing administrative and technical support. This is a client-facing role providing an excellent opportunity to communicate with team members across the organisation with regular interactions with underwriters and brokers. The role will suit someone proficient with data, detail-oriented, and able to demonstrate a good understanding of financial concepts.
Your Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate data entries for Insureds using an internal system
- Accurate and timely production and distribution of policy and invoicing documents using an internal system
- Production of Renewal and mid-term cover documents including endorsements to Certificates of Entry and updating of system records where necessary
- Debit and credit miscellaneous items, e.g. financial transactions
- Liaising with Underwriters to gain approval of invoices and policy documents
- Entry of data using an internal system and the use of Excel
- Assisting the Underwriting team and ad hoc duties as required
About You
Knowledge/Experience
- Administrative experience gained within a professional or financial services
- Experience gained from a P&I Club or mutual insurance association is desirable
Skills
- Computer literate and familiar with all MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
