SalaryTeam Educate are recruiting for passionate Teaching Assistants who don’t have qualifications but have a desire to work with children. Schools in Bristol are looking for Teaching Assistants to support their classrooms on a temporary basis, with the opportunity of extending to permanent for the right candidate.
The role involves working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or a small group supporting their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
Responsibilities:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students
– Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities
– Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
– Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
– Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher and parents/guardians
– Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
Skills:
– Strong ability to educate and work with children, particularly those with special needs
– Experience in toddler care or special education is highly desirable
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other staff members
– Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children
– Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs of students
