gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Utilities Technician to work at their facility based near Stanlow

Performance Objectives

• To ensure that the Utilities plants serving the Manufacturing Hall run efficiently, achieving pre-determined outputs
• Responsible for operation of the following Utilities plants - Effluent Plant / Boilers / Water treatment / Refrigeration
• Ensure that the Utilities plants operate efficiently discharging within consent
• Sampling various streams across Utilities plants
• Visual inspections / PEMACs
• Calibration of essential monitoring equipment
• Report issue concisely to the Utilities Engineer
• Responsible for escalating conflicting priorities
• Responsible for escalating plant issues
• Shall use any machinery, equipment, dangerous substances, transport equipment, means of production, or safety device provided by the employer in accordance with all training given, together with the relevant Safe Operating Procedures
• Ensure all equipment is in good condition and safe to use prior to use, and immediately report unsafe issues to an appropriate line manager

Person Specification

• Machine Operation through HMI
• Mechanical / Electrical experience preferable
• Experience working on Utilities plants including: Refrigeration, Effluent treatment, Boilers & Water treatment.
• Chemical handling and awareness
• Awareness of Environment Agency regulations
• Knowledge of the Utilities Plants listed
• FLT Licence
• Full driving license
• Competent computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
