AREA MANAGER (Internal Only) | PERMANANT | £46000 - £48000
As the Area Manager you will develop, lead, and manage multi-disciplined teams in the operation of production machinery, ensuring that the team consistently achieves targeted levels of performance.
Responsible for the entire manufacturing process, from wine receipt to delivery to the warehouse. You will foster a team spirit that is consistent with and supportive of the company values and continuously challenge, innovate, and improve departmental performance by implementing a Lean culture and operational philosophy.
The Key Requirements
- Fully understand the philosophy of all control systems within manufacturing and retain and utilise this knowledge and skill
- Demonstrates health and safety understanding and compliance
- Relevant IT system knowledge
- Understanding of Lean Processes
- Strong leadership and Management experience and ability
- Supervisor/Management qualifications desirable (e.g. ILM3)
- Health and Safety qualification desirable
- Takes the initiative to problem solve, challenge & improve to deliver the agreed targets
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and is self-motivated
The Park is a multi-award-winning bottling facility, employing over four hundred people and producing twenty-five million 9L case equivalents of wine each year. Our state of the art and highly mechanised manufacturing and blending plant has six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute. The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²) with the largest fleet of reach truck Automated Guided Vehicles in the World!
