Technical Team Leader | PERMANENT | £43,918.26
As the Technical Team Leader you will be delivering a range of Quality Control services and technical support to the facility, establishing and improving standards. You will also assist in developing a team of multi-skilled Laboratory Technicians for the day-to-day operation of bulk wine receipt and testing, including micro and quality testing.
The Technical Team Leader will be part of a team responsible for maintaining all quality standards and testing the bulk wine, as well as the packaged product produced on the line, ensuring expected microbiological and organoleptic levels are achieved.
In the absence of the Quality/QC manager, you will take responsibility for Quality decisions and manage the laboratory technicians as well as work within the framework of the agreed team principles, fully supporting and working towards the achievement of the team objectives while ensuring cross-functional relationships are developed.
The Key Requirements
- Full competency to operate, calibrate and maintain all key pieces of equipment within the Lab
- Wet chemistry analysis skills as well as Microbiology understanding on alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a food/beverage production company
- NVQ Level 2 in Manufacturing Operations (to be completed during first year on site)
- Bachelor’s Degree – Qualified
