What you’ll do
Notting Hill Genesis, one of London's largest housing associations, are looking for a highly organised, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Voids Inspector, overseeing a patch in the West Region.  You will play a crucial role in delivering well-cared-for homes and places where residents feel safe and have a sense of pride.

Your focus will be on ensuring our contractors and suppliers are providing a consistently high-quality voids service that delivers against the six customer priorities in the customer strategy.
You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across NHG and externally to drive improvements and offer a first-class service to our customers.

You’ll have strong problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused mindset, excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and a commitment to providing a first-class voids service.

You will be responsible for diagnosing repairs to void homes, preparing reports in clear, easy-to-understand and terms, along with specifications and recommendations.

You will be highly organised and expected to continually monitor the quality and success of all void works, using data, analysis, and insight to instigate appropriate improvements and recommendations. Manage an in-person post-inspection regime for your patch, ensuring that works are carried out to a good standard taking ownership where works are not to the required standard, and seeing through to a successful conclusion.
 
Essential
  • Experience of working within the voids sector, carrying out pre, post audit, and quality inspections.
  • Experience in formulating specifications, managing schedules of works, and technical diagnosis.
  • Experience of contractor management.
  • Experience of writing and disseminating technical reports.
  • Good understanding of the relevant legislation, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Desired
  • DEA/FRA assessor trained
  • Recognised HND technical qualification eg. building surveying or member CIOB
