Vacuum Tanker Driver/Operator

Due to existing customer expansion we’re looking for vacuum Tanker driver operatives to join our brilliant team in our Mirfield depot. You’ll need a C+E licence, tanker experience is a must and an ADR in tanks and packages would be preferable .
The role involves 4 nights out a week and occasional weekend overtime as and when required .
OTE Earnings £40,000 - £45,000 per annum are achievable ( £750- £850+ a week) with tax free night out subsistence and lunch allowances paid
You’ll be driving a Volvo FH with leather interior, flat screen TV , built in microwave and fridge.

Experience

• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Experience of working in the waste management industry an advantage.
• previous tanker experience is a must
• ADR licence in tanks.
• Drivers Digi card.
• Driver CPC card.

Education & Qualifications

• Class 1 LGV License
• Valid ADR qualification in Packing and tanks.

Skills and Behaviours

• Ability to safely manoeuvre LGVs into restricted spaces.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.

This is a permanent role involving an average of 4 nights outs a week and weekend work as and when required. Our drivers don’t carry out night work.

• Normal working week consist of days Monday-Friday, running out from the Mirfield depot on a Monday and returning Friday afternoon/evening.

The Below pay rates are currently under review and an increase is expected to be implemented by April.

• overtime available during the week.
• Saturday and Sunday work as and when required.
• Weekly paid.
• Basic (37.5 hours) £12.92 per hour for full ADR qualified driver (hourly rate is £12.30 for first few weeks of training)
• Overtime Monday to Saturday paid after 40 hours £19.38 per hour.
• Overtime Sunday and bank holidays £25.84.per hour
• Bank holidays day in lieu also.· Night out money £24 per night plus £4 per day meal allowance.

· 20 days holiday + bank holidays.

· Plenty of overtime available.

Expected earnings are typically £750-£900.00 per week gross / £43,000 - £50,000 per year. Please note these figures are indicative earnings, actual earnings will vary depending on the hours worked.

Additional Expenses including nights out and meal allowance average £116.00 per week tax free is additional pay on top of the expected earnings.
