We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team, responsible for the safe and timely collection and transportation of various items to designated locations. As the face of our company, you will create a lasting first impression with our customers through the service you provide. Please note you MUST know London geography!
Day-to-day of the role:- Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the first point of contact with the customer, representing the company’s commitment to quality service.
- Complete a van check sheet daily to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle.
- Perform thorough checks of the van after every shift to ensure no items have been overlooked.
- Unload the van and count jobs at the end of each shift.
- Reconcile collections with returns to the department, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent knowledge of London and its roadways.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Calm and safe driving manner.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing tasks efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised vehicle.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
