Van Driver Warehouseman

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the van using proper lifting techniques
- Ensure all items are securely fastened and protected during transportation
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the supervisor
- Inspect the van for any mechanical issues before and after each trip
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Experience:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures
- Ability to operate a forklift is an asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs or adjustments on the van

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members

Pay: £8.61-£13.27 per hour
