Vat Manager

An Accountancy Practice, based in Hull, is recruiting for an VAT Manager to join their team. A salary of up to circa £50,000 is on offer, as well as a range of benefits including; 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), additional paid holidays over Christmas, private medical insurance, death in service policy, and payment of professional subscriptions.

The VAT Manager will work closely with Managers and Partners to always ensure a smooth delivery of service to clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Dealing with the planning and implementation of VAT work, preparing to a high standard, and being responsible for the presentation of work to clients.
• Ensuring all technical queries are resolved throughout the process and beyond, from both the wider Group and clients, including providing VAT advice.
• Making and maintaining strong client relationships, providing excellent service and regular engagement.
• Managing work within agreed timeframes and working to set budgets, whilst managing client and partner expectations. Keeping all parties up to date with progress made and status of work.

We are keen to speak with CTA qualified or equivalent candidates, ideally with an accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
