On behalf of our client, Nrl Recruitment are currently looking for a Vehicle Cosy Analyst/Controller for a role in the Cranfield area.
Duration: 12 months contract
Hours: 37.5 hrs p/w
Rate: £27 p/h PAYE (inc hol pay)
Scope of Work-
The Cost Reduction Promotion and Strategy function is in charge of planning and reporting the cost of new vehicles during development, including; piece cost, average model cost and tooling.
The responsibilities include:
• Prepare and agree detailed activity plans, then conduct the activity.
• Identify and gather the required information from both local and global sources.
• Prepare and publish cost reports daily, weekly and in line with project milestones.
• Liaise with engineers, buyers, and manufacturing plants.
• Validate the quality and completeness of data.
• Highlight irregularities and gaps in the data and identify the required remedial action.
• Identify and escalate problems appropriately.
Periodic remote working may be required in-line with Co. policy.
Infrequent national and international travel to may be required
• You will probably have a degree level of education, however 2 or more years of relevant experience in the below areas are expected.
• Experience of project management & leading cross functional teams
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with members from a multi-regional background
• Innovative and flexible “can do” attitude with self-motivation to plan and action activities.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to identify and develop process improvement opportunities.
• PC skills (Must have skills):
Excel, (Intermediate, graphs, pivot tables, database connections)
MS Office; PowerPoint, Outlook, Word (Intermediate proficiency)
Additional beneficial skills:
Knowledge of power query (Excel)
Tableau (some experience beneficial)
• An understanding of vehicle components, systems and the vehicle development processes is desirable but not essential.
• Languages: English - fluent
