Vehicle Technician - Poole

Your Company:
An opportunity for a Vehicle Technician has become available within an automotive business located in the Poole area. As a leader within the market, this business provides a range of services to its business and individual customers, relating to vehicle sales and vehicle repairs and maintenance. This role will be vital in delivering these services to their customers, and the position holder will be in a hands-on role, working on a range of vehicles and cars, to do repair and maintenance work.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Undertaking extensive vehicle repair work and planned maintenance, identifying current and possible issues with the vehicle and reporting these accordingly
• Conducting additional work such as repairs as instructed by the workshop controller, after speaking with the customer.
• Utilising specific diagnostic equipment from the manufacturer to carry out diagnostics, testing and repair work to the highest quality possible.
• When vehicles are returned to the customer, ensuring these are adherent to safety standards and that all work is documented, and future faults are marked.
• Adhering to set out health and safety regulations, rules and company policies and procedures at all times while on site completing work.
• Accurately labelling warranty material and ensure it is returned to the warranty depot.
• Providing documentation for repair work undertaken ensuring this is in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines. 

What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive experience working as a Vehicle Technician, preferable with VW Group vehicles in particular, although this isn’t essential, and any manufacturer experience is valid. Any VAG main dealer experience would be beneficial too. Having extensive product knowledge is highly desired, as well as a fantastic attitude and proactive approach to work.
