SThree are delighted to announce that we're looking for a talented Vendor Manager to join our wonderful team!

The chosen candidate will support SThree's overall purpose to 'bring skilled people together to build the future'. In SThree's journey towards total spend transparency and more centralised spend control, this role holder will need to embrace new behaviours, processes and polices, achieving a balance between regional and group needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring vendors to ensure compliance with company policies, attending company meetings, and informing new vendors of their responsibilities. Additionally, to perform supplier audits to actively review and measure supplier compliance

What are the day-to-day tasks?

  • Identify and manage key suppliers and take ownership for finding optimum solutions to drive relationships.
  • Help deliver the Category Strategy through review and rationalisation of suppliers
  • Ensure effective use of MI and reporting to drive required behaviours both internally and externally
  • Understand contracts and make them part of the central Vendor management process
  • Perform regular reviews of each contract to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Drive procurement best practise and obtain stakeholder & Supplier buy-in.
  • Analyse and interpret MI to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Work with suppliers to create a better working relationship in order to gain the maximum 'value add'
  • Ensure effective supplier process, system integration and policy governance
  • Involvement in key group forums to actively contribute and influence, understand general strategy and procurement needs in relations to supplier management and risk mitigation
  • Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Global Procurement Director and Head of Procurement Operations
  • Recommend appropriate remedies that can be taken with suppliers that may have committed breaches
  • Support with rationalisation of supplier base across all category areas, specifically the primary category.
  • Drive effective cross-functional use of the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) tool
  • Create and track supplier performance reports in collaboration with Category Leads

What skills and knowledge are we looking for?

  • Able to demonstrate relevant procurement and supplier management experience
  • Strong track record of adopting new processes and systems
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tools and principles
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Ideally MCIPS, studying for CIPS or has an appropriate business qualification
  • Degree education is an advantage
