The School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint a Veterinary Lecturer to deliver a range of teaching across the veterinary and animal sciences. Working with local partners we have developed a modern, innovative veterinary programme, focused on producing clinically competent, compassionate, and pragmatic graduates. We believe that everyone, regardless of background, has an opportunity to turn their aspirations of a career in animal care into a reality.
The successful candidate will provide innovative education and student support and be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching materials across both BVMS and Bio-veterinary sciences courses, as well as postgraduate programmes. You will have experience of teaching in a Higher Education environment and will be keen to develop and deliver a Clinically Integrated, outcomes-focused course.
We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual, with an excellent track record of building and sustaining internal and external relationships alongside excellent communication and networking skills. The successful candidate will have:
- A sound knowledge and practical experience of Clinically Integrated Physiology/pharmacology and associated technical and practical skills
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and assessment
- A good honours degree (or equivalent) in an animal science, veterinary or agricultural discipline
- A higher education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCHE, FHEA or equivalent)) or a commitment to complete one within one year of the appointment
