Job description

Salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience. Relocation packages up to £5k available. Visa costs supported. Any costs associated with current employment can also be supported. Full/part-time and flexible working options available. Accommodation available.

We are a 5-site group who currently employ 10 vets, mixture of small and large animal. Outstanding team of 13 nurses, a clinical director and senior practice director. Please explore our practice and team by viewing our video!

Based in beautiful North Aberdeenshire, Scotland, where castles, beaches, mountains, golfing, sailing and dolphins are all available within an hour's drive of the practice. Aberdeen airport is only around an hour's drive too!

You will be part of a super friendly, welcoming and supportive team. Our sites have access to the modern diagnostics you would expect from a progressive small animal practice including blood analysers, ultrasound, endoscopy and radiography. We recognise vets want to provide the best care for their patients and as such provide 15 minute consultation times as standard with extended times for more involved consults.

Our vet who is moving onto another one of our practices within our group had this to say: “I would highly recommend Deveron vets as a great place to work because I, myself enjoyed and developed my career exponentially whist I worked at the practice. Being a first opinion practice and not having many options to just ship off challenging clinic cases to referral centres, this offers an unlimited opportunity for a keen vet to work up challenging cases to the best possible level. I found this to be a joy and an great opportunity to develop my skill sets. The access to good equipment and a supportive veterinary team and staff allows any vet at any level of their career to experience a meaningful time in their career in this place.”

With an even balance of consulting and operating there are plenty of opportunities to hone your skills in which ever area you wish. Our vets have a wide breadth of experience with one starting a surgical certificate this year and another seeing exotics cases from several of the surrounding practices. An experienced, supportive and enthusiastic nursing team bolster the clinical team providing yet further expertise and run nurse clinics routinely. We benefit from being part of a wider veterinary group as well which provides routine access to advanced surgical, dental and clinical support.

What will we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Bonus package
  • Full-time hours over 5 shorter days or 4 longer days
  • Clinical freedom
  • Up to 7 weeks annual leave with our buy and sell holiday scheme
  • Company pension scheme
  • CPD
  • Professional membership fees paid
  • Staff discount scheme
  • CVS sharesave scheme
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave pay
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Career progression
  • Perk box offering a suite of discounts.
