Veterinary Surgeon - Rustington

The Opportunity:

We're lucky to be in the heart of Rustington, an attractive seaside town, just a few minutes from our glorious beaches and close to the South Downs National Park. It is the perfect location for water-sports, walking, cycling and exploring, with Chichester, Worthing and Brighton all within easy reach!

We have a friendly, welcoming and long-standing team, lead by an experienced practice manager, 2 RVNs and a veterinary care assistant with no OOH. Excited to offer this Veterinary Surgeon opportunity on both a full time and part time basis, in a sole-charge capacity, with scope to expand and shape the team!

The opportunity involves a huge amount of clinical freedom. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will have the freedom to work up clinical case to the highest level, alongside taking the practice in the direction of your choice and moving into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon role!

Our practice boasts 2 consult rooms, a theatre, x-rays, a modern laboratory and in-house dental suite, ultrasound, multi-parameter surgical monitoring equipment and a hugely successful pet healthcare plan uptake to our loyal and growing clients, and all supported by our fantastic team!

We can also offer a Relocation allowance should you move more than 50 miles from your current address.

In this role you will:

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
• Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
• Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
• Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
• Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
• Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
• Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
• Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
• Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
