We are a team that brings an enthusiasm to all forms of art and does so by proactively engaging with our visitors face to face and across all our digital platforms. Together, we use art for positive social change. We aim to transform the way that art is experienced and used, by using art as a tool to open up conversation, generate empathy and actively address what matters most in peoples lives - here and now. We achieve this by learning together through making and doing, creating a place of care, consideration and community as well as taking action.
Interested in this way of working? If so, we are keen to hear from confident and caring individuals who are naturals at enabling and facilitating conversations, both in person and online. Our Visitor Team Assistants are the eyes and ears of the Whitworth. They require flawless communication skills and a great degree of empathy to ensure every visitor not only feels welcome in our building, park and surrounding gardens but also connected with and valued. To be a successful Visitor Team Assistant you should also have the curiosity to challenge how we function and operate, understanding that you play a crucial role in improving our services, helping cultivate and embed our values into our daily operations.
To help us be at our best, we are looking for people with a broad level of digital and communication skills. Particularly individuals who can speak additional languages, as we are keen to expand our language offer to further represent our visitors.
This role is now live and waiting for the right people with the right skills to apply. Even if youve never worked in a gallery before but think you could bring the skills and energy we need, we want to hear from you.
