This is an exciting opportunity to develop, co-ordinate and manage volunteer activity across Blackpool and the wider Fylde area for the Salvation Army Team based at Blackpool Citadel.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and maintain a vibrant, welcoming volunteer base, ensuring that Blackpool Salvation Army has suitable day to day cover in terms of volunteers.
Maintain an effective process for the recruitment, training, and retention of the volunteer team.
Network with and work collaboratively with local church, voluntary and community sectors in the North West area to engage with cross sector partners to deliver a range of services as well as generate volunteer referrals and identify partnership working.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience of having successfully developed a large volunteer programme.
- Experience of managing systems and databases (IT literate)
- Strong organisational skills and drive and motivation
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage several workstream simultaneously.
