What it's like to work here
You'll be reporting to the Experience & Visitor Programming Manager at the Cheshire & Wirral Portfolio. There are two pay-for-entry sites within the portfolio (Hare Hill and Little Moreton Hall) as well as a number of countryside properties, including the busy Alderley Edge site. You'll be expected to work at different sites, particularly the three previously mentioned. We have approximately 200 volunteers working across these sites and they are involved with every part of what we do here in this portfolio. You'll support our volunteer managers to manage, develop and engage their volunteer teams.
What you'll be doing
As our Volunteering and Community Officer, you'll be supporting the wider team by exploring and building links with the local community. You'll help to make this a flexible, positive and inclusive place for partners, community groups and current and future volunteers to get involved.
You'll be working with several Trust teams at different sites on various projects, so your days will be full of variety. This may mean helping to run established community-led events, as well as coming up with new ideas for activities.
You'll develop new ways of working together, and deepen relationships with existing and new audiences. You'll also help to hone the skills our teams need in order to welcome and work with all kinds of people.
