Job description
To welcome patients, relatives and carers on arrival to the ward. Ensure patient details are correct on our IT systems and complete admission details on arrival To deal with enquiries and to pass information to the appropriate staff. To provide a courteous, responsive and effective point of contact (in person and by telephone) for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, both internal and external to the Trust. To keep ward diary and excel spreadsheets up to date.
Ensure timely action to admit patients into Triage and Delivery Suite, ensuring the relevant teams are made aware of arrival and adhering to national drivers. Patients and Relatives Promote a customer focused approach to receive patients and visitors to the ward. Distribute post to patients on the ward.
