We are seeking to recruit a Ward Clerk Monday to Wednesday. Are you someone who enjoys a challenge and able to work as part of a large team whilst being able to work under your own initiative and are you looking to work in a fast paced healthcare setting? Then this role may be for you.
You will be the welcoming face of the unit, therefore we are looking for a professional and enthusiastic individual, who demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
You will need to have an ability to be flexible in your role and duties due to the dynamic nature of the ward.
Working Monday to Wednesday.
To ensure the smooth application and control of all administration, clerical and computer processes associated with the work area. Ensure the provision of effective communication to both patients and staff to enhance patient care.

To welcome patients, relatives and carers on arrival to the ward.
Ensure patient details are correct on our IT systems and complete admission details on arrival
To deal with enquiries and to pass information to the appropriate staff.
To provide a courteous, responsive and effective point of contact
(in person and by telephone) for patients, carers and healthcare professionals, both internal and external to the Trust.
To keep ward diary and excel spreadsheets up to date.
Patients and Relatives
Promote a customer focused approach to receive patients and visitors to the ward.
Distribute post to patients on the ward.
