With over a decade exclusively in the electric cycle industry, e-Bikeshop has fast moved to become one of the biggest and most respected independent retailers of electric bicycles in the UK, with a reach that serves clients around the world and a heavy focus on a uniquely "VIP" customer experience.
The cycle industry has had a tumultuous 18 months, however e-Bikeshop continues to thrive and and seek out fresh opportunity to grow. With this, follows the need to again expand on our industry leading team of “eBike Expert” Sales, Technical and Support staff.
What you’ll be doing.
Working in our open plan, fast paced and dynamic warehouse and workshop space, in this role you'll be supporting staff in the workshop, warehouse and office functions as well as carrying out the duties your own role covers.
You'll primarily be responsible (either as part of the team or individually) for;
- Booking in our multiple daily deliveries
- Unpacking and initial inspection of bikes for the workshop team
- Repacking assembled/completed bikes for transport internationally
- Processing of associated order paperwork/admin
- Booking of deliveries via DHL, Fedex, Royal Mail and international carriers
- General warehouse housekeeping
The minimum skills we need;
- Experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
- Driven, self motivated and proactive work ethic with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to multitask with accuracy and attention to small details that have big positive and negative consequences.
- Able to work to deadlines, while occasionally negotiating "moving goalposts"
- Outstanding punctuality and reliability.
IMPORTANT - Its worth considering before applying for this role that eBikes are not as light as ordinary bicycles and bike boxes are over 2m long, a metre high and can weigh as much as 30kg. There will be a regular amount of necessary and unavoidable manual handling involved in this role.
Heavily desired/bonus skills;
- Knowledge of and/or a keen interest in the electric cycle/sustainable transport industries.
- Basic/previous experience in new cycle assembly and/or ongoing cycle repair/ maintenance.
