Warehouse Delivery Manager

This role will lead the delivery across both project and BAU workstreams within our Warehouse Development team. Working closely with the Product Owner and other business stakeholders, you will gain vital working knowledge of our warehouse operations and systems to allow you to articulate the work by bridging the gap between business process and technology implementation. Supporting our PMO function you will help the resourcing, tracking, and planning of our project work. You will work closely with the Product Owner to understand priorities for operations and agree on delivery timeframes for each work item. Within our agile scrum process, you will be responsible for running certain ceremonies and defining as well as reporting on sprint and delivery metrics to the development team, as well as stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing timely information to IT and Business stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Working with development, test and other IT and Business teams to agree and own projects/workstreams.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality products that meet business requirements.
• Focusing on delivery excellence whilst adding-value of experience / analysis into delivery and definition of initiatives.
• Ensure that business needs are accurately represented in the product backlog.
• Proactively seeking continuous improvement opportunities for both yourself, the teams you work with, ways of working/processes, tooling, reporting – all aspects of the delivery lifecycle.
• Driving and managing initiatives, including Project and BAU, through the Delivery Lifecycle from Requirements Definition to Delivery and Evaluation.
• Creating documentation including roadmaps, project plans, status reports and RAID logs, and roll these out for consistency in reporting and controls.
• Establishing cadence and governance for all work-types.
• Keeping all documentation and tooling up to date
• Take ownership of the Warehouse Development JIRA boards and process
• Proactively identifying risks and mitigating actions, identifying owners and driving these through to resolution.
• Establishing, attending, and delivering updates to Business and IT stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Overseeing the daily tasks of delivery teams ensuring all are actively working toward established milestones and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Advocate for change and innovation, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Driving delivery pace with support from Development team leaders
• Define success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product effectiveness.
• Driving determination and deliverability of work schedules and scope.
• Drive capacity planning and tracking for delivery teams in your portfolio to provide view on available capacity and ability to schedule work in the team.
• Identifying and managing dependencies across the Warehouse and other IT development teams, including any touchpoints with the wider IT delivery roadmap.

This role will be based at our Shirebrook HQ, 3 days a week onsite and 2 remote

• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
• Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive in predicting challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
• Significant senior stakeholder management experience in a challenging fast paced environment.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution (desirable)
• Experience working in Retail industry (desirable)
• Previous experience working in Warehouse environments (desirable)
