Job Title:Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager

Aim of the Position:
As Garo's Warehouse Manager you will be working with and have the responsibility for directing a team of 5 staff with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working systematically and productively. The fast paced and energised environment relies on organisation and efficiency. Daily tasks include safety checks, dispatching of orders, booking and storage of goods received, managing the returns process in a professional and timely manner.
Job Description:
- Manage a small team of operatives across two departments, ensuring breaks are taken at correct times, holiday requests are processed, and ensure that all daily tasks are carried out.
- Ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.
- Maintain records of all dispatches.
- Monitor equipment on site, including trolleys & pallet trucks for faults or fit for purpose.
- Maintaining the highest health & safety standards
- Warehouse & Yard kept clean and tidy.
- Ensuring Safety Checks and cycle counts are done daily.
- Responsible for the day to day health and safety of the staff and the practices they carry out while under your direction.
- Recruitment, training and performance management, identification of training needs for all colleagues within the team to ensure maximum flexibility and productivity.
- Co- ordination with other departments to ensure the warehouse is functioning in accordance with the overall business objectives.
- Contributing to organisational success by ensuring all daily tasks in the warehouse are carried out efficiently and with the best interest of Garo and our customers.
- Manage and lead the warehouse team to drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Take part in operations and senior management meetings.

Preferred Experience
- The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate at least 3+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience.
- A previous record of managing/supervising small teams is essential.
- Experience working in similar warehouses is desired
- Candidates in possession of a forklift license would be at a distinct advantage
- Experience in using handheld scanners in previous roles while picking goods is also desirable
- The successful candidate will show a good work ethic, lead by example and show a desire to ensure that each days tasks are completed to a high standard.

Full time position
Standard hours 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday + 08:00 - 15:30 on Friday
Overtime is irregular and available sporadically
