Roles and Responsibilities
As our warehouse manager, you will:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of all inventory items, including PPE, workwear, and site supplies. Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular audits and reconciliation.
- Operational Oversight: Direct daily warehouse operations to meet customer demand and organizational objectives. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfilment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate warehouse staff, including warehouse operatives and administrative personnel. Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety standards and regulations within the warehouse environment. Implement and monitor safety procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Quality Control: Maintain quality standards for all incoming and outgoing inventory items. Conduct regular quality inspections and address any issues or discrepancies promptly to uphold product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Analyse data and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipping/receiving activities, and other warehouse operations. Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and performance metrics for management review.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings within the warehouse operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
