Position: Warehouse Operations Manager
Salary: £38,277
Working Hours: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (12:00 to 22:00) & Wednesday (09:00 to 19:00) - 40 hours per week

Join Heron Foods as a Warehouse Operations Manager and become a key player in our warehouse management team. This role is pivotal in managing a team to ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse, focusing on delivering stock to all stores and maximising business productivity.

Role Responsibilities:
Oversee Warehouse Supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the picking process across all chambers.
Assume full site operational responsibility in the absence of Warehouse Managers.
Serve as the primary contact for all operational incidents and the escalation point for relevant business stakeholders.
Regularly brief, supervise, train, and appraise employees, ensuring high standards and compliance with health and safety legislation.
Manage pick figures, analyse variances, monitor KPIs, and manage performance issues.
Plan rotas and arrange staffing for shifts.
Work with HR for investigations, welfare checks, performance management, disciplinary, and capability meetings. 
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience managing in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
Extensive people management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Capability to work in varied temperatures, including -25°C chambers, with appropriate PPE provided.
