About the Role
Day to day duties include:
- Receive in and record all goods delivered to the company, including retention of copies of all documentation received with the goods.
- Carry out inspection of goods received - checking for damage to, quantity of and quality of items received and that all paperwork is accurate and correct. Record any discrepancies and notify the relevant parties.
- To book in all goods received on to the computer system and correlating the items received to the purchase order to ensure our order requirements are fulfilled, process the Purchase Order on the Company’s Procure to Pay system.
- To keep control of all stock parts and to maintain stock levels agreed by the Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain the goods in / out / stores areas in accordance with the requirements for Health & Safety and maintain good housekeeping.
- To maintain data quality, batch control and traceability of all parts in accordance with the required processes.
- To issue stock parts (including required documentation, e.g. Certificate of conformity or condition labels etc) to Programmes as required and to update the system accordingly.
- Accurately pick stock items in accordance with requirements and to ensure conformance to the business process and contractual requirements.
- To package and label all orders for safe delivery to the customer and provide weights and dimensions to the Freight co-ordinator for Courier quote.
- To liaise with the other areas of the business as per our internal systems.
- Undertake routine and ad hoc stocktaking tasks.
- Any other task not limited to the above but as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

- Previous stores management experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Capable of communicating at all levels
- A strong team player with experience of working across functions
- Proactive nature with motivation to offer new process improvements
- Good analytical skills
- Oral and written communication skills
- Confident self-starter, capable of innovation and lateral thinking
- Capable of operating to tight schedules in a demanding environment
- Strong computer skills, competent in the use of Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience of maintaining accurate and complete records within databases and Knowledge of Asset management systems essential.

- Desirable - MHE qualifications - FLT - Reach and Tier, CB
