SalaryWorking in a trade supply company. You will start off on a pre-apprenticeship model first to see if you enjoy it.
Duties:
- Day to Day tasks including but not limited to
- Arrive to work 10 minutes before your shift ready to start on Time
- (flt checks)
- Picking and packing tasks ensuring all customers loaded correctly nothing to leave without correct paperwork
- Load delivery vehicles night before and pick orders ready for next run to maximise deliveries and increase sales
- Customer orders either collect or delivery take priority over goods inward
- Adhere to health and safety rules ie no use of mobile phone when driving forklift
- All drinks to be in a sealed cup no food to be consumed in the warehouse /FLT
- Communicate with drivers and sales team to ensure fast and efficient delivery of products completing delivery schedule and keeping up to date
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and orderly at all times
- Inspect fire extinguishers/hygeine and fire exits regularly
- Assist the Warehouse Manager to complete daily reports ie PSI, load planner, and delivery schedule
- Rotate stock and locate correctly
- Working as a team member to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure cover at all times ie rotas/breaks/holidays etc
- Daily inspection of Fork lift and forms completed
- Report any Damaged stock and fill in report
- Check, sign off and report any discrepancies concerning inbound deliveries
- Provide quality and efficient customer service
- Adhere to all process and procedure policies
Experience:
No previous experience required. You will be required to have a 4 or above at GCSE level maths and English. We will provide Warehousing lessons alongside your placement.
Contribution:
You will be paid a contribution from the employer of around £80 per week, which will be discussed between yourself and the employer if you are successful.
Age restriction:
This is a government funded programme and therefore is age restricted.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, hours will be discussed if you are successful.
