Description: We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to assist in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Main duties will include picking, checking and palletising/packaging stock for our sales customers and installation teams.
You will also be expected to perform wider related duties such as equipment refurbishment, stock control, loading and off-loading, and will contribute to a safe and effective working environment alongside colleagues that you will work closely with.
For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to explore administrative aspects, such as down-dating stock, checking levels and booking on transport.
This is a very physical role, that can involve lifting heavy items.
The role is full time (40 hours) working 07.30 – 16.30 Monday to Friday.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity with the possibility of either renewal, or a permanent contract offer at the end of 12 months.
Salary: £24,000.00 gross per annum.
Person Specification:
Essential
· hold a current clean UK drivers’ licence.
· have good attention to detail.
· be punctual, whilst able to work to deadlines.
· have good communication skills.
Desirable
· hold a current forklift license.
· have previous warehouse experience.
The ideal person will be highly organised, with a good work ethic and able to use their own initiative. A high level of professionalism is required at all times and the candidate must be flexible and willing to learn, with a can-do attitude and to be a team player, in order to get the job done.
