Your responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us here at thyssenkrupp Materials UK! As the Warehouse operative role, you will be picking material from the racks or picking up materials from a machine for customer orders. You may also be required to load or unload vehicles and scan away to a rack location whilst adhering to quality and safety procedures.
Hours of work
40 hours a week on a rotating shift Pattern:
Mon-Fri Week 1: 6am-2pm.
Mon-Thurs Week 2: 2pm-12pm
Your main duties will include:
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Observing the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 2008 at all times
- Maintaining all metal traceability systems using Bar code scanners
- Preparing customers' orders
- Racking, stacking and identification of incoming stock
- Checking of incoming and outgoing deliveries for quality and quantity
- Driving forklift trucks when authorised
- Operating any warehouse machinery as directed, eg. guillotines, saws, polythene coating machines, etc.
- The cleanliness of work areas
- Reporting of damage, shortage and overages
- Other warehouse duties as required
- The safety of him/herself and others, and observing company Safety Policy at all times
- Booking in of goods received, where applicable

Desirable knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours:
- Overhead Crane Certification
- Forklift Truck licence
- Able to read production paper work and record accurate details
- Flexibility to help with other tasks
