About you

You will be responsible for ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full. You will be responsible for leading your team ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively within the Warehouse process stream. Organising and prioritising workload throughout the process stream to maximise throughput and efficiency without compromising on quality or compliance. You will ensure all processes follow GMP guidelines as per SOP and Health and Safety legislation. You will coach your team in the most efficient and accurate packing and goods-in processes. You will introduce systems to enable full visibility of workload and priorities and who is working on what. You will be involved in continuous improvement activities as and when required.

Your duties & responsibilities

  • To ensure all employees adhere to COSHH and H&S regulations, policy and procedures
  • To organise the work in the area to ensure the team understand the plan, priorities, lunch break times and any other useful information.
  • To monitor progress of items with timed deliveries or specific urgent items and to ensure these are prioritised and communicated effectively.
  • To coordinate and perform the picking, packing and despatch of all orders ensuring all available items are despatched on time to customers committing to stay until all items are despatched
  • To ensure the team is fully utilised and that the workload is evenly shared.
  • To plan and provide a prompt and responsive delivery service to hospitals and collection points
  • To maintain the shift rota, this includes SLA support for Pharmaxo deliveries
  • Stand in as holiday/absence cover as required
  • Ensure goods in, quarantine and picking/packing processes are all completed in line with SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Ensure all SOPs, relating to warehouse activities, are maintained and routinely reviewed in line with GMP
  • To coach and assist team members in understanding SOPs and the importance of compliance.
  • To ensure the team understand the use of controlled documents and to ensure documents are controlled in line with company procedures.
  • To maintain an effective system of stock control to include:



    • Routine stock checks (some may be out of hours)
    • Stock rotation including the checking of expiry dates
    • Safe Operation and use of company vehicles to include safety checks, maintenance (POL), temperature control equipment, use of navigation aids
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for ordering and resupply
  • Responsible for training and validation of all warehouse personnel, ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Monitor temperature control systems and escalate any issues
  • To conduct a full and thorough hand over with the late shift prior to departing for the day.
  • To measure team performance and deal with any team issues - conduct reviews, PIPs and PDRs with each team member in line with company policy
  • To escalate any team member issue providing relevant data to substantiate and enable progression of issue.
  • Complete RTW and approve holidays timely in line with company procedure
  • To give direct support to newly qualified and members of staff with performance gaps
  • To lead by example and challenge all unacceptable behaviour
  • To report daily on team members who have displayed behaviour in line with Bath ASU values
  • To assist with deviations and complaints including implementation of corrective and preventative actions when required.
  • To ensure the warehouse areas are always kept clean, tidy and well organised
  • To attend training as and when requested.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Production

Benefits

  • Salary: £27,870 per annum
  • Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 3 years service)
  • Annual company bonus scheme (subject to scheme eligibility)
  • Pension - you will be auto-enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5% (with an employer contribution of 4%). You can also opt to increase your contribution to 6% to which the employer will contribute 8%.
