Exciting Opportunity for Warehouse Supervisor in Fast-Paced Manufacturing Company!

Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Gateshead
Shift: Day Shift (7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of plus four warehouse personnel
- Supervise and control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions are accurate.
- Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
- Organise, facilitate and manage stock takes at regular intervals.
- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
- Supervise and control product skeletal and bales to be stored safely within the designated area.
- Control, manage and maintain all warehouse equipment, ensure team are always compliant.
- Communicate and collaborate with Production and Production Office
- Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse employees.
- Keep the area tidy with “CLEAN AS YOU GO” and completes allocated cleaning tasks on a daily basis as outlined in the cleaning rota
- To ensure all protective clothing provided is worn as per the guidance.
- To work within company Health and Safety Rules
- To assist and adhere to adhere to BRCGS standards.
- To carry out any other duties that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and maintain a professional attitude.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as set out within the employee handbook.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth flow of manufacturing processes
- Utilize your shift management experience to optimize workforce efficiency
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals
- Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate shipments
- Forklift (FLT) counterbalance experience desirable but not essential
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse supervision within a manufacturing setting
- Proven track record in shift management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Forklift (FLT) counterbalance experience is desirable but not essential
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience
