Purpose of the Role
To support the production and driving team to ensure daily transfer of goods required in and out of production/warehouse. The main responsibilities of this role will be focused around inter site transfer of goods.
Collating picking notes daily from our main warehouse and taking them to our production site ensuring full system traceability and adherence.
You will be responsible for booking in all deliveries to our production facility whilst maintaining the smooth transfer of material in and out of production.
- Support the warehouse in daily tasks and objectives to run a smooth and efficient operation, receiving and despatching deliveries whilst ensuring production have the correct material requirements in advance of production allotted time.
- Transfer finished and raw/unfinished goods between warehouse and production daily, based on production requirement.
- Dealing with customer returns to determine stock suitable for restocking or disposal.
- To ensure stock movements are correctly communicated to the warehouse admin for stock records to be adjusted.
- Ensure daily picks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all loads are completed daily, all goods to be loaded with the correct packaging and protection to ensure safe delivery of the product.
- Ensure goods are booked in, labelled, and put away correctly.
- Ensure the transfer of goods between production departments follows the correct process.
- Carry out perpetual stock takes as required.
- Highlight any QC issues with line manager to ensure poor product is not despatched to the customer.
- Ensure warehouse environment kept clean, tidy, and organized. Responsible for housekeeping within the warehouse and yard and assisting production areas when required.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements within your designated working area and the yard.
- FLT license
- Checking goods for missing or damaged items
- Ensure all warehouse areas are closed and locked up each evening once the working day has finished to ensure safety of the building overnight, in preparation for the Production Manager to final check.
Preferred Skills
Self-motivated and driven to perform to support the team internally to achieve right first-time delivery of orders to our customers. Attention to detail in all aspects of the role is essential.
Knowledge of pick pack and despatch operation.
Communication with colleagues to ensure efficient movement of goods throughout production and the warehouse.
Able to attend meetings, provide valid input when required and take notes on any responsible points from the meeting to action.
