Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a management services company recruit a Waste Manager, to work on site for one of their biggest contracts, the role comes with an excellent salary and benefits package, including bonus, car allowance, pension and 25 days holiday.
The Waste Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the waste operations, leading the on-site team and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and legislation.
In your first few weeks in this Waste Manager role, you can expect to:
- Manage the Solihull Waste Team to effectively deliver the operational requirements of the Waste contract
- Maintain legal compliance with Health and Safety legislation, ensuring that all operations are undertaken in a safe manner, with a specific focus on the use and availability of risk assessments and method statements
- Ensure & maintain legal compliance with all applicable waste legislation
- Ensure compliance with the Company's waste management procedures
- Recommend and drive positive change and improvements in processes
To apply for this Waste Manager role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
- Experience working within the waste industry and managing complex "Waste Streams" out of a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Understanding of waste legislation and compliance
- An IOSH or equivalent qualification
- Experience of SAP systems
