AddressJob Title:Weekend Cleaner/Porter to support weekend bookings, private Functions & conference’s.
Responsible To: Facilities Manager/Deputy Facilities Manager
Duties will include:
The department covers a diverse range of support functions, including all aspects of housekeeping and cleaning. The cleaner will work within a team to upkeep both internal and external areas of the College.
· Cleaning of designated areas that may change from time to time to include common rooms, corridors, stairs, toilets, kitchen, public areas and teaching rooms, conference and private function bookings.
· Preparing rooms as necessary for teaching, courses or meetings.
· Driving college vehicles around the campus.
· Moving furniture and equipment as required, which may involve moderate heavy lifting.
· Moving bagged general waste and recycling to collection point.
Maintaining cleaning equipment.
· Ensuring areas are kept secure.
· Observing and complying with the college’s Health and Safety policy and Code of Practice.
· Observing COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals.
· Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Knowledge / Qualifications Required
- Knowledge of Manual Handling regulations (desirable)
- Full driving licence (preferred but not essential )
- First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential)
Skills / Experience Required
- Must be able to undertake moderately heavy manual handling.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
